In December 2019, ChimyTina released the winter holiday-inspired album A Very ChimyTina Christmas. The album received critical acclaim from Rolling Stone, NPR, The New York Times and more. The group was founded by Chimy and features exclusively his compositions and arrangements. They are one of very few, “synth bands” that feature live, mostly non-sequenced, semi-improvised electronic music, combining elements of prog rock, jazz and classical music. The end result is a nostalgic, epic soundscape delivered in a high-quality package. The band was founded by bassist Dan Chmielinski and features world class, Juilliard-trained musicians. Four by Four has performed at Dizzy’s Club Coca Cola three years in a row, most recently featuring Jazz at Lincoln Center founder Wynton Marsalis as a guest artist with the band.
